Finally, a bit of a lull, and I can get back to the task of figuring out how the web works these days. A little more moving and shuffling, and it’s back to writing blog posts. (Yes, really!)

Fending Off Overwhelm

The revising is not going well. There are big problems, little problems, sentence problems, paragraph problems, plot problems, character problems. I’m not even to the point of following the tentacles that wind out from these necessary changes. Right now all these things are clamoring for attention; I’m having trouble figuring out which depends on what.
I get this feeling around chore time, too. The list can be very long, sometimes unrelated, big things and little things, urgent things and cosmetic things. A yard-long list of Looming Onerous Tasks makes me want to take a nap. But with the house stuff, at least I’m certain it’s a problem! Sometimes with editing I’m not sure I’m improving things.
